Odette Roy Fombrun has been a prolific writer throughout her life. Her schoolbooks on civicism, history, and geography have been a staple in Haitian schools since her first book published in 1949. Most recently, her series of mystery novels have been a popular hit with children.

Besides her educational writing, Mrs. Fombrun has been a regular commentator about the social and political situation in Haiti. She has published hundreds of editorials in local and foreign media, as well as articles in a variety of academic publications.

Mrs. Odette Roy Fombrun has donated all royalties and proceeds from sales of her books to the FORF.
